In 2013, I'd taken pix near the time the century plant stalks started their phenomenal growths. At the time, my camera was a Kodak that shot only stills (1760x1168 resolution). This time, I re-viewed my original shots, culling, editing, and organizing them to create a time-lapse slide show. Read the entire article and comment there, please.

Forgotten Fotos of Americana Century Plant (2009)
My previous topic was a New Mexico century plant, a peewee compared to the Americana this time around. I took the Americana pix in 2009 starting from the end of March to end of June, mostly weekly. The first eye-catch was the stalk starting to grow upward. The plant had reached about 10' high already. By early May, it already reached 20' and displayed branches and flower clusters. Forgotten Fotos of New Mexico Century Plant (2012)
During my recent file manager tour, I ran across a series of pix of a
smallish century plant that inspired me to make it this month's topic.
It already showed its stalk pointing upward from its base of leaves, aka
rosette. The stalk's branches and bloom clusters progressively grew in
quantity and size. Read the entire article and comment there, please.

Thread-leaf Agave in Fall 2020--Blooms, Bees, and Beyond
My video's images are from November 3 through 20, which include blooms
and bees, and also noting the increasing leftward lean of the stalk. ...
In researching my subject plant, I looked at several websites for
differences between filifera and its close relative, schidigera, both in
the Asparagaceae family. Read the entire article and comment there, please.
Thread-leaf Agave in Fall 2020--Emerging Stalk and Buds
Early October 2020, I spotted an agave with an emerging stalk (about 7' high). Also, the ballish shape of the leaves ("rosette") caught my eye. I've seen numerous agaves sprout stalks in spring. Read the entire article and comment there, please.

A 2021 Century Plant's Unfortunate Life Cycle
On January 18, I spotted the agave with an emerging stalk. (Speculating it started its growth maybe the previous week.) Its timing seemed way earlier in a year; many others I've observed seemed to start in early March. Read the entire article and comment there, please.

Yucca End-of-2017 Miscellany
This article caps off this year of my yucca writings as follows:
- Yucca's Two Same-Year Stalk Bloom Cycles (contrasting a soft-leaf yucca's two stalks that bloomed within months of each other—one in July, and one in the fall)

Century Plant Triplets--12th Week, Lefty's Bloom Clusters Declining
Lefty's bloom clusters display a dramatic dulling of color intensity from the previous week—brightness on May 13, drabness on May 20, as the pixstrip shows.
